Vintage description : 2014 is a surprising vintage and a great success! Spring was early and summer temperate and humid until late August. The vine had a long vegetative cycle and late maturity. These conditions mobilized the teams and required sustained work in the vineyard for vine protection. At the end of August, heat and sunshine returned sustainably to our region for nearly 60 days! Optimal conditions for ideal and regular maturation with warm days and cool nights. There is exceptional tannin maturity with all indicators for a great vintage: grapes rich in polyphenols, good acidity and sugars, and beautiful fruit freshness. Harvest took place from September 23 to October 8. The resulting wine offers a nose combining minerality, fruit, and complexity. On the palate, the Margaux style is well present with its balance, great elegance, freshness, and fine tannins.
